Becoming a volunteer for WISE and Connie’s Closet
Without our volunteers we could never achieve or goals assisting disadvantaged women by provide professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and life.
We need volunteers to be mentors to our clients after they have gotten the job and are trying to be stable to keep the job.
You can volunteer to come in and help review donations and put them on the floor in the right size in Connie’s Closet.
You can organize a fund raiser with your women’s group.
We need volunteers to have special drives for shoes, coats, and other items at special times of the year.
We need volunteers to do follow up calls and make referrals to other resources that might be needed such as healthcare, legal counsel, transportation, housing, childcare, counseling, or other needs.
Volunteers can be involved with our 5K Run, or our Walking the Runway for WISE Fundraiser each year.
Volunteers might be involved in our support campaign or grant writing.
Call us and share with us your talents and we can match you to a need that our clients have that would be best suited to your schedule, amount of time, talents, or other services you wish to share.
We need volunteers to help merchandise and keep our Closet attractive for those who wish to shop to support our services for clients. All funds that are received go to support services for our clients that might be needed in an emergency situation or special needs campaign. Often times, this could be a special pair of shoes or special size that we may not have. We purchase items that are not available through donations so they can go to work.
