Welcome to WISE - Giving disadvantaged women the caring help they deserve.

WISE provides support services of professional suits, office casual pants, shoes, coats, accessories, handbags, feminine hygiene, make up, hair care, toothbrushes, refreshment, networking material on how to find a job and what websites there are to register on-line in our women's resource center. We provide access to the internet to send and receive emails, prepare a resume, register for a job on-line. Training in word or excel at their own pace, as well as use our communication to contact our partners for other services such as healthcare, education and training, childcare, transportation, housing, legal counsel, vision and dental services. All these are part of the one-stop experience we provide to each woman who enters our resource center. 

The items are donated from wonderful caring volunteers and donors from two Virginias. Experience Works provides staff who work next to volunteers, volunteers are always needed as well as monetary donations and supplies such as shopping bags, undergarments that are new, unused cosmetics and hygiene items. We provide Baskets of Hope at Christmas for women in shelters that have loungewear, shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrush, comb, inspirational positive reading, a journal, chocolate, socks, and other comforting items. These baskets are donated from women, churches, organizations, vendors, and friends of WISE then they are delivered to the shelters we partner with across the region. 

We are an independent non-profit that is operated by our board and staff. Our services include:


  • Outreach with our partners to network with their clients who are looking for work.


  • Volunteer services for our clients in Bluefield, WV, Bluefield, VA, Princeton, WV, Welch, WV. Beckley, WV

  • Women's Professional Group who provide seminars on being employable for our clients after they get the job in order to maintain their current positions or move further up in their career.


Our customer is a woman who is working to prepare for a job with a wardrobe, resume, professional appearance, and a plan for stability.

WISE is open from 10:30AM - 3:30PM Mondays through Fridays and by appointment on Saturdays.
